Lord of Florida

A tragic myth

Two Acts (3m, 3f)
Lord of Florida is a modern take on the Greco-Shakespearean tragedy. Set in an abandoned Spanish Castle in Northern Florida, a group of high school students are tasked with creating their own country — as a history class assignment.
However, as the assignment unfolds, the students are increasingly unable to separate the world of the castle from the real world of high school.
Spurned by the draconian King of this castle, the bitter Margrave hatches a plan with the sadistic Countess to commit a coup against the monarchy, and utterly ruin those with power inthis strange world.
